The dedicated staff, including experienced masseuses and estheticians, have been providing exceptional service to a loyal clientele for years. Notably, guests can indulge in the spa's amenities such as lounging by the pool, ordering food and drinks, or enjoying quality time with their girlfriends. Overall the spa was fantastic, the grounds were beautiful, clean, and lots of space for relaxation. I was really impressed with the outdoor area and all the pools. However, food was way over price. I paid $40 for a chicken salad that was awful. Prices for food are ridiculous. The drinks were ok, I ordered $200 worth of food and drinks which I didn’t mind but I also expect top quality for a 5 star spa.
I also enjoyed that there were lots of cleaning janitorial keeping the facilities clean and they asked several times if I needed anything. I paid $220 for my massage and I do think it was worth it. I will be returning again this summer.
Moms…you’ll love this spa. I live in Oak Park nearby and have made this my go to. Initially I became a regular desperate for a maternity massage during the opening/closing/reopening/reclosing of so many spas and salons. I had no idea what a gem of a place this was. Brand recognition can obscure perceptions. This spa is as unique and special as their entire wellness department. (Yes a wellness department, look into it!) it’s unusually spacious for a spa, like a beautiful archaic and old athletic club or men’s bath house you’ve only seen in period pieces in films. This matters because it allows for a sense of place. You don’t feel as though you’ve checked in for a nail appt that you drop by and hit the road 45 mins later. With any spa service you book, you have access to they’re pool before or after where you can lounge, order food and drinks, or just chat with your girlfriends. A majority of the staff, including their masseuses and esthetician’s have been there for years. (Not a high turnover, heavily clientele based)
PRO TIP: book a service on a Wednesday and you’ll receive the Wow-Me-Wednesday Prices. Make sure you mention that at that when booking your treatment
My husband and I love the Four Seasons. The spa is a great experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They really cater to our needs. We are so grateful for such great service.
This is a hoity-toity fancy place, bougie hotel. Nothing special actually. I got a massage here once and it was nowhere near as good as the massage school in town. It did cost six times the price though, so there’s that.
Great Spa day for family. Attractive broad range of facilities, friendly staff. Pricing in line with what one would expect at this level but free of agressive upselll which has been case at our spas. Fun relaxing experience. Only a couple of service slips, while minor but suggest not paying full attention to guest experience, prevent five star. Still lovely experience.
The Cove is new at 4 Seasons. Great fun and very relaxing. Jo was our server and she was fantastic! 10 out of 10!
I'm here to give a rundown of the facility because I had difficulty understanding reviews and photos.
Arrive /drop off through the hotel's main lobby or from a separate arrival to the conference center/spa area. At the time of our visit, we went through the main lobby. We chose valet ($13), but self-parking was also an option (can't add cost as we didn't choose this option.)
Spa entry was quick and less than 2 minutes as we had filled out pre-arrival forms. There were 2-3 staff at the front desk, so the wait was minimal.
We were escorted to the men's arrival lounge (small seating area). We waited less than 2 minutes for the Spa attendant to show us a tour of the spa amenities.
The men's facilities included the following rooms/areas:
- Arrival lounge (about 4 seats)
- Men's relaxation lounge (about 6-8 chaise lounges) where we wait for service. This was separated from the women's lounge by a screen, so it was visually private, but there was ambient noise shared but not distracting. There was spa water and snacks here (banana chips and almonds).
- Men's locker rooms. A smaller room and a slightly larger room. All with lockers with digital locks, benches, and dry counters/mirrors, towels, towel-drop, etc.
- Men's toilet area, with a separate toilet/urinals and vanity area with sinks and amenities (deodorant, hair spray, shaving kits, Q-tips, combs, brushes, mouthwash, etc.)
- Men's shower area with 6 private compartments, each with a changing area and shower. Outside the shower area is a bathing suit spinner (dryer).
- Men's wet Area. 8 person hot tub and flanking are two chaise lounge chairs. One side of the hot tub has a large sauna, and the other side has a large steam room. All three were sufficiently warm/hot to enjoy but not overly hot.
The men's facilities were in top-notch condition. It looked like they had recently renovated and updated finishes.
A shared indoor co-ed lounge leads to the outdoor, uncovered spa pool. The co-ed lounge has tea and spa water. The pool has a food/wine/cocktail menu.
The only space that looked slightly dated was the treatment room with older bamboo flooring. It was also perfectly fine with natural light from a garden door (fenced off so just open for light/air).
Other spaces we didn't use: retail shop, barber.
The Spa at Four Seasons Westlake is incredible. The staff is very professional and kind. There’s plenty of space, the locker rooms are nice, and you can use the pool/other facilities during your time there.
